Being HUB Certified and BBB Accredited

What do all the letters mean?

For over 35 years, we’ve tried to be the best at what we do. The never satisfied attitudes of our employees and leadership have helped propel us from a small shop to an industry leader. But what does that mean exactly? We’re going to break it down so when you’re shopping, you not only know what you’re getting but also who you’re getting it from.

Better Business Bureau A+ Accredited

C.C. Creations has been an accredited business by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since 2008 and holds the highest rating based on their grading system. There are several rating elements the BBB considers when ranking a

business such as the type of business and the length of time the business has been open. But they also look at a company’s complaint history and how complaints are handled and transparent business practices. Plus, failure to honor commitments, government actions, and advertising issues also count against the company during ratings.

Wow…and we thought calculus was hard to get an A in. The BBB also awards companies who “demonstrate its commitment to high ethical standards” with its annual Torch Award. Which C.C. Creations was humbled to receive in 2011. (CLICK HERE to read the newspaper article.)

Historically Underutilized Business  (HUB)

According to the Texas State Comptroller, the goal of the HUB program is an “effort to actively involve HUBs in the Texas procurement process and ensure they receive a fair share of state business.” In order to qualify for the program, the for-profit organization cannot exceed the prescribed size. It also must have its principal place of business in Texas. And the third qualification requires the business to be 51% owned by a minority or disabled veteran who also resides in Texas.

So now that we know what HUB and BBB A+ mean, we can all make purchases with confidence knowing exactly who we’re buying from.
